A very friendly place with the staff always informative and pleasant.

Heritage vehicles were on display today to add a bit of variety.

Pity the rain tried to dampen our enthusiasm, but we won over in the end.

Mimosa Dream - Glasgow Bound

Well they say the early bird catches the worm.

Being woken at stupid o'clock by my darling cat 'Skipper' I checked to see if the 'Mimosa Dream' was heading up to Glasgow as she anchored off Irvine late last night.

Lo and behold she was heading past Gourock so despite the weather and the hour  I decided to take a chance.

The rain was bouncing off the pavement as I got to the car and headed to Erskine Bridge more in hope than anything else.

As I got to the Bridge the weather improved and pleased I made the journey.

A happy couple, and a happy chance, as they and their family were posing for some wedding photographs.

It just seemed to good an opportunity not to record this on such a nice day, and with the PS Waverley about to pass Custom House Quay as a bonus.

Comet Festival Children's Parade - Port Glasgow

Today it was 'Anchors Aweigh' as the local school children from Port Glasgow held their parade through the town.

It was a very colourful event with plenty of noise from the leading Samba band and it was good to see the community alive and active.

Swans and Cygnets

Well - Maw, Paw, and the Weans had a wee stroll around Coronation Park in Port Glasgow this afternoon.

Don't know how big a treat it was for the Swan family, but it was one for us present to watch them.
