The Mariners Home in Greenock is a beautiful CollegiateTudor style listed building.

Old Sugar Warehouse Sheds at the James Watt Dock, Greenock


'Open Doors' day in Greenock afforded the opportunity to view this fine building.

A-listed building built between 1882 and 1886 - designed by Walter Kinipple, the Sugar Warehouse was constructed in four red-brick sections with arches and pilasters in yellow brick.

This iconic building is being made wind and watertight at a cost of approx 3.7M

HMS Bounty in Greenock, Inverclyde

HMS Bounty is visiting Greenock for a few days.

A wonderful day weather wise for this time of year.

HMS Bounty - famous for the maritime mutiny that took place over 200 years ago. Thousands visit her duringport visits to see what life was like in that era.

She is well known from her modern movies roles. Built in 1960 at a cost of £750,000.

In 1960, it was Marlon Brando playing Fletcher Christian in 'Mutiny on the Bounty' and more recently  it was Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Man's Chest'.
