Visit from a Friend

Had a visit from an old friend and ex-colleague from T-Mobile today.

Enjoyed a nice lunch at the 'Cafe Royale' Chinese restaurant, then Jo bought a Greenock Telegraph 2011 Calendar - which I duly signed on my two winning entries.

Ice cream and snowballs followed at the Lyle Hill, then showed Jo around some of the nicer parts of Greenock before she departed to return home to Montrose.

The great and warm weather was an added bonus.

Came across these two gorgeous and friendly horses today while filming near Alloa.

"Night is Day" - Film Shoot Last Day

Well today was the large official  filming, which was quite sad really.

We started early travelling from Glasgow (08:00) to the Alloa area for some internal and external scenes.

Then back to Glasgow to finish off some roof scenes.

We finished early (19:45) - in itself unusual - and said our goodbyes - till we meet again at the 'wrap party' later in the year.

Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) - Glasgow

A run up to Glasgow for lunch with Fraser and Bethany.

Managed to punch the Chinese waiter (it was an accident - honest).

Then a walk around - buying make-up for tomorrow's filming, and grabbed a few pics at the GOMA.

Views from Lyle Hill, Greenock

Sun out again today, though beginning to feel a bit more like autumn.

Warm though - that's the main thing.

"Night is Day" at Collectormania - Day Two

Well Day Two - 'Night is Day' at Collectormania was as good if not better then Day One - though for different reasons.

Cast, Crew, and Fans (old and new) were awesome as ever, making the day go quickly, and it was so rewarding.

Again we had some celebrity visitors who came to see us and had good things to say about the trailer.

"Night is Day" at Collectormania - Day One

Well what can I say - 'Night is Day' at Collectormania went down
really well with everyone.

Cast, Crew, and Fans (old and new) were blown
away with the new trailer - "inspiring" was one of many comments.

We had some celebrity visitors who came to see us and had good things to say about the trailer.

SV Glenlee

SV Glenlee was towed to Greenock today for renovation at Garvel Dry Dock.

The Port Glasgow-built ship will be there for about three weeks, and will return to Glasgow to eventually berth alongside the new Riverside Museum in spring 2011.

Loch Thom - Greenock

After completing a series of interior shop images for inclusion in Vogue magazine - went for a frame of snooker.

Then up to the Loch Thom area of Greenock - saddened to find they have levelled the trees around that area.

There were good photo opportunities there - and I'm sure some excellent habitat for the fauna and  insects.

What a shame.

'Night is Day' Filming Continues - Sunday

Ever closer to the finishing line - but the filming carries on relentlessly (but still fun).

But more and more of the actors are wrapping so there are fond farewells - hopefully to be re-enacted at the 'Wrap Party".

'Night is Day' Filming Continues - Saturday

We are getting near the end of filming, the the hard work of editing begins. Adding sound, music, and special effects are all in the pipeline.

"Tiger" Tim Stevens (MBE) joined the cast today as we filmed in the rather scary location of a laboratory.

But only after we had donned the necessary safety clothing and followed the tight regulations as instructed.

Wee Trip to the Gryffe at Greenock

Such a lovely day - went to photograph some unusual ducks/geese at Whinhill, but they had vacated the dam.

Carried on up to the Gryffe and grabbed a few shots.

Travels in Inverclyde

After a swim at Port Glasgow pool I went to Greenock where I caught this cargo ship.

Then a wee turn up to the Gryffe Road - somewhere I hadn't been in many years. It was quiet and the weather was good too. Managed a few scenery pics

Glasgow Green Festival 2010

Glasgow held their annual Festival at the Green again this year, and a very worthwhile event it was too.

There were a few cutbacks - what would we expect in the current financial climate? - but still a great family day out with plenty to entertain the crowds that attended.

Pink Parade - Breast Care Charity Walk - Greenock Esplanade

Once again the ladies (and gents) of Inverclyde staged their 'Pink Parade' charity walk on the Greenock Esplanade.
Good natured, and a lot of fun with the benefit of helping this most worthwhile cause.
