Balmoral Arrives in Greenock

'Balmoral' arrived at the James Watt Dock in Greenock this afternoon.

Both she and the 'Waverley' will be going in to the Garvel Dry Dock for pre-season maintenance prior to their summer schedules.

HMS Monmouth - Faslane, Gareloch

A (fairly) early call over in Faslane as I heard that HMS Monmouth was going up this morning.

Colder than expected but rewarded with a few images before heading back to Greenock.

MV Flinlaggan - First Clyde Visit

MV Flinlaggan - a Calmac ferry - made her first visit to the Clyde this afternoon.

She will be going in to the Garvel Dock tomorrow for maintenance.

Not the warmest of days but we were forecast for heavy rain so the sunshine was a real bonus.

RSPB - Lochwinnoch Nature Reserve

A first time visit to the nature reserve at Lochwinnoch.

Something tells me it'll not be my last.

The whooping swan was great to see, but the sad story is that it stays here rather than migrate due to a broken wing three years ago.
