The Turkish 8F Steam Locomotive - 45170 - arrived in Glasgow this afternoon around 14:00.
She is a Glasgow built locomotive, LMS designed, and a class of 2-8-0 steam locomotive.
She first steamed on 28 February 1942, and acquired from the British War Department in 1943.
She had been scheduled to arrive for viewing at 10:00 but a technical problem with the transport meant she was somewhat delayed.
It was a cold afternoon as the assembled enthusiast gathered to await her arrival with some anticipation.
We were not to be disappointed when she arrived and we were able to see her and get some photographs.
She departed at 15:00 bound for Bo'ness where she will again go on display on Saturday before being moved to the museum.
Donations are required for the restoration work and you can donate - CLICK HERE - if you wish to assist.
