Around Greenock Today

Caught the 'Maid of Glencoul' as she departed Greenock after her winter refit.

On to the Greenock Esplanade and a few images from there are displayed below.

Finally, a few shots of the aftermath of the demolition of the Belville Street high flats earlier in the week.

Olympic Torch - Inverclyde

The Olympic Torch came to Inverclyde today and the crowds turned out in their numbers to cheer.

A good natured crowd waved flags, cheered, and pointed cameras and camcorders as the runner came through upper Port Glasgow.

Strathclyde Police joined in with smiles and waves to the crowd.

All in all it was a good event in Inverclyde.

River Clyde Today

A quick turn down to Greenock this morning - not too much happening but nice to see the 'Puffer' as she departed and headed to Loch Long.

"Lang may her lum reek".
