Popped in to Newark Castle this afternoon to update my collection of photos.

As always a very warm welcome form Historic Scotland staff and so glad I have my membership.

HMS Dauntless and Clyde Traffic

HMS Dauntless left her berth at Glen Mallon this morning and headed upriver to Glasgow.

She will host various civic events before departing on Monday, though sadly she will not be open to the public on this occasion.

Here are a few images of her, and some other craft on the river around the same time.

Knee still troublesome but needed to get some shopping.

My first visit to Newark Castle in many, many years.

The staff were both friendly and informative. I learned a lot and look forward to going back another day when time permits.
