A Busy Garvel and James Watt Dock

After yesterday's postponement the Garvel dry dock today saw the MV Finlaggan and the SD Warden exit, and the Burhou I come in for maintenance.

It was a great day and almost looked tropical, and the temperatures were fair giving some warmth in the sunshine.

This was reflected in the number of people who appeared to watch the comings and goings around the docks.

Nice to see as it is their heritage, even though the river is quiet by the standards of yesteryear.

Another Busy Day in the Clyde Area

We had the German warship bound for the KGV docks in Glasgow.

The repaired bow visor was transported from Ferguson's shipyard in Port Glasgow to the James Watt Dock in Greenock.

Later in the day the Serco's 'SD Warden' and Calmac's 'MV Finlaggan' docked in the Garvel Dry Dock for maintenance work.

James Watt Dock

A quick stroll at the dock on my home tonight.

Getting dark and a bit murky - typical winter light - and so early the darkness comes in.
