Holidays in Whitby

Although the sea was  calm enough, we had rollers coming in quite dramatically this evening.

Levisham, Whitby, and Ruswarp

Last day of the holidays before we depart back to Scotland.

Finally found Larpool Viaduct for a few images, then tea at Ruswarp, and a final visit to Levisham Station.

Yet again the sun shone - can not believe how good the weather has been over the fortnight.

Whitby - East Cliff

A visit to St Mary's church - never seen it so busy with visitors.

Difficult to get the images I wanted, and eventually abandoned.

Whitby Abbey seems overpriced for what it offers compared to other similar locations - just my thoughts - and a few other we chatted with on the day.

Whitby Evening Walk

A walk around Whitby in the falling light of a summers evening.

Warm and still, so relaxing and peaceful, what more can one ask for?
