HMS Ambush Returns

HMS Ambush arriving home to Scotland for repairs following her collision off Gibraltar.

She made her way up Loch Long to Coulport where she will undergo inspection before repair work begins.

Significant damage to her tower was sustained when she surfaced and struck a tanker.

She is in a safe condition and the crew are all well.

Finnarrow - Greenock For Repairs

The ferry 'Finnarrow' arrived at Greenock early this morning having been towed up from Holyhead by the tug 'Hellas'.

She suffered damage while entering the harbour at Holyhead a few days ago - my understanding is that her stabilizers were not retracted before she berthed and this caused damage that allowed water ingress.

She will be going in to Inchgreen dry dock for repair next week.
