Myths and Legends Firework Display

Tonight was the firework display forming part of Inverclyde's 'Myths and Legends' event.

This is the fifth year of the event, and sadly it had less content than last year and there seems a decline in enthusiasm and imagination.

The event has declined each year with the first year by far the best so far.

Greenock Model Railway Exhibition - Day One

 Today was the first day of the Greenock Model Railway Exhibition, with another day tomorrow.

The event was well attended today and visitors were enjoying the layouts and stalls.

Luminous Orange Departs

 The bulk carrier - Luminous Orange - departed this evening.

Light was failing fast so a high ISO setting. Then it rained.

To make the misery complete, the wash from the lead tug rose higher than I anticipated and some of my gear was submerged - thankfully nothing too expensive.

All rinsed off when I got home, so fingers crossed no lasting effects.

A nice stroll around the Victoria Harbour in Greenock on a lovely sunny evening, and very mild for the time of year.

The tug 'Kingston' was berthed with two hopper barges from Jenkins Marine.

The Ocean Youth Trust have a small fleet of yachts based at Victoria Harbour in Greenock.

Here we have the crews undergoing training before setting sail on the Clyde.
