Cruise Ship 'Louis Aura' at Greenock

An additional cruise ship - 'Louis Aura' - was added to the list to visit Greenock, so down to the Esplanade to get a few photos.

Arrived on time and the weather was fair.

Dropped back down again in the evening as she departed on her next passage to Belfast.

She departed at around18:20 - a little later than expected.

Morning Visit to the River Clyde

Early morning start as I head down to Cloch Lighthouse to get some photos of the 'AMT Trader' arriving.

She is going to Ferguson's Shipyard to get a jig fitted before continuing to Govan to take section LB03 of the aircraft carrier 'Prince of Wales' to Rosyth.

The photos show some other shipping and track her progress upriver.

Zippos Circus in Greenock

The circus came to town this week amid all this wonderful sunshine we're enjoying.

The days of a circus with many animal acts seems to have wained and only horses were on show. This has to be a good thing.

The horses appeared well treated and in fine health - a credit to those who look after them.

I had a quick walk round and these images are the result of my wanderings.

Gareloch Today

A drive over to the Gareloch early doors this morning and caught a French visitor to our waters in lovely warm sunshine.

I spoke with a number of German tourists staying at a Rhu hotel and they were thoroughly enjoying their visit to Scotland - it was nice to hear.

Headed across to see how the dismantling of the submarine Onyx was progressing and managed a few shots courtesy of DRB Marine.
