Outbound from the River Clyde

The submersible barge 'Dina Launcher' departed Glasgow today and headed to sea.

Her work of launching HMS Forth having been completed she moves on to the next task.

She was being towed by the 'Stadt Aardal' on the bow, and 'CMS Warrior' at the stern.

The 'Warrior' will only go as far as Greenock.

Final Piece of the Jigsaw

The final piece of the aircraft carrier - (HMS) Prince of Wales - left Govan today and is now heading to Rosyth.

This is the Aft Island section.

Ayton Cross took the bow of the barge with CMS Warrior taking the stern.

The Esvagt Connector followed on and she took over the tow at Greenock to continue the journey.

I stopped off at Ferguson Marine where the new Calmac ferry will be launched tomorrow morning.

Morning Visit to the River Clyde

Early morning start as I head down to Cloch Lighthouse to get some photos of the 'AMT Trader' arriving.

She is going to Ferguson's Shipyard to get a jig fitted before continuing to Govan to take section LB03 of the aircraft carrier 'Prince of Wales' to Rosyth.

The photos show some other shipping and track her progress upriver.

Bascule Bridge - Barge Move with Offshore Wind Turbine Assembly

Another section destined for Methil in Fife left the River Cart.

Interesting to see these various components pass down the river. This one weighs in the region of 500 tonnes.
