Commonwealth Games - Final Day

Final day of the Commonwealth Games so headed to Glasgow one more time.

Early train again and managed some shots of the women's cycle race and the weather held, albeit the light was poor.

Then across to Merchant City and saw Charlie Flynn and Josh Taylor with their Gold medals from the victories at the Boxing.

Back across the city for the men's cycle race but sadly the weather had deteriorated and now I had to contend with the rain.

Worse was to follow as the rain became torrential and that ended the day as far as the photography was concerned.

Thoroughly soaked - despite the waterproofs - it was time to head back to the central station and get the train home to dry out.

The Games have been awesome and Glasgow has more than lived up to it's reputation as the 'friendly city'.

Back to near normal tomorrow, though the closing ceremony - from the comfort of my settee - will be watched on TV later.
