Fortunately I had my camera as I walked Maya, and also fortunate that a RN submarine was departing.

Later in the day I went to Greenock for some shoots on the cruise ship leaving - sadly it was a bit damp and cold.

Caribbean Princess at Greenock

The 'Caribbean Princess' arrived in Greenock this morning - the first of the larger cruise ships to visit the Clyde this season.

She has been here many times before, but here are a few current photos of her arrival in the bright sun.

A cold wind accompanied her as she berthed at the Greenock Ocean Terminal.

Hopefully her bus tours will leave ample time to get back to Greenock as the road works are providing long delays at the moment.

Early Morning at Greenock Docks

As it was reputed to be the last visit of the 'Caribbean Princess' cruise ship to Greenock I set the alarm and took a very early morning run down to get some images.

Always very tricky in such poor lighting and the mist hanging low did not make matters any easier. It did however add a bit of atmosphere.

On the way home I popped in to Customhouse Quay where the 'PS Waverley' was stopping overnight and also managed a few images of her in fairly unusual lighting.

Another evening in Greenock, another cruise ship departs.

Tonight the 'Caribbean Princess' sets sail for pastures new after her day visit to Greenock.

Hopefully her passengers and crew will have enjoyed all Inverclyde and surrounding areas has to offer.

Seemed too good a night not to pop down and grab a few (more) images of the Caribbean Princess.

She looked lovely as she departed in the beautiful sunshine.

Also grabbed one of the 'St Just' on my way home a she passed Port Glasgow.

Greenock - On the Clyde

It's been a hectic day for sure, but managed down to catch a bit of movement on the river this evening.

Caribbean Princess departing a little late due to a passenger delay.

Then the Saimaagracht arrived to take her berth at the Greenock Ocean Terminal.

Caribbean Princess - Cruise Ship

I'm either slightly insane, very keen, or dedicated.

Up before sunrise this morning and down to a cold Esplanade in Greenock to get a few images of the Caribbean Princess as she arrived for her first visit to the Clyde.

Met up with Thomas - one of my friends from the ShipAIS forum so at least I had some company.

She arrived from Dublin and should depart for Southampton at about 17:00 tonight.
