River Clyde Today

The tall ship "Stavros S Niarchos' arrived at Custom House quay this afternoon and will be there till next week when she will go in to dry dock for a refit.

James Watt and Garvel Docks

A botched appointment by Scottish Gas meant I wasted the morning, and a part of the afternoon too.

So I missed the arrival of the Clansman for her annual refit.

Just managed to catch a few images before she finally slipped in to the Garvel dry dock completely.

She certainly looks in need of some TLC.

Greenock

Grabbed a few shots around Greenock while waiting on 'she who must be obeyed' to complete her shopping.

I've included a photo of the old well which gave the park its name.

Installed by the local laird - John Shaw - in 1629, it bears the initials of both him and his wife.

We also have a fitting war memorial to remember those fallen in the wars.

Hebridean Princess

The cruise ship 'Hebridean Princess' was berthed at Custom House Quay in Greenock today.

As her last cruise was yesterday I assume she is now preparing for a winter shut down and maintenance schedule to prepare her for next season.
