Decided to try my luck with the sun setting in Greenock tonight.

Feel it was worth the effort, and glad I took a chance.

Queen's Jubilee Beacon - Greenock

Over 4,200 Beacons were lit across the UK, and worldwide to celebrate The Queen's Diamond Jubilee tonight.

Greenock was no exception as a fair sized crowd assembled at the Lyle Hill to enjoy the occasion.

The weather was very kind and after the sun set, the beacon was lit at 22:15 after a few words were said.
