Locomotive Number 62005 Continues the Journey North

After last night's late run across to Dumbarton, it was across the Erskine Bridge again and over to Garelochhead.

The weather was very kind as I managed a few shots at the Station and then the dash up to the bridge at Whistlefield.

Then back home as the rain descended with a vengeance.

West Highland Railway Line This Evening

A run across to Dumbarton tonight to meet and greet the steam locomotive 62005 as she stabled overnight.

She is owned by the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group and tomorrow will continue her journey to Fort William where she will join two other steam locomotives to operate on the Jacobite Railway Tours.

Duchess of Sutherland

Another trip through to the east coast so see one of the steam train tours on the Forth Circle line.

This time the 'Duchess of Sutherland' was doing the work.

She is an LMS Princess Coronation Class - number (4)6233 - and in Green livery. She has previously had Black and also Crimson Lake liveries.

She will be back to the Crimson Lake for next year so hopefully she'll be back up and I can get photos in that livery too.

The light was not at it's best but at least it stayed dry for the day.
