'Cops and Monsters' Filming

Up at silly o'clock on a Sunday morning can only mean one thing - my youngest son Fraser is filming again.

So, after a fourteen hour stint the initial minisode of 'Cops and Monsters' has been filmed - and the footage is now being scrutinised and edited before effects and music are added.

Then we will see if we get the go ahead to film another six episodes.

"Night is Day" - Movie Première

 Tonight was the première of 'Night is Day' the Scottish produced movie about Glasgow's superhero.

After the première there was a Q & A session hosted by Paul Greenwood of the 'Evening Times' newspaper.

Night is Day - Collectormania Day Two

Images from our second day of promoting 'Night is Day' the movie at the Collectormania event at Braehead Arena.

Though less busy than yesterday we were still kept busy and pleased that Robert Maschino (The Todd) from the 'Scrubs' TV show joined us to show his support.

It was an enjoyable time and good to catch up with each other as we hadn't met up as a group for over a year when filming finished.

The movie is in 'post production' with music, sound and visual effects etc being added.

"Night is Day" - Film Shoot Last Day

Well today was the large official  filming, which was quite sad really.

We started early travelling from Glasgow (08:00) to the Alloa area for some internal and external scenes.

Then back to Glasgow to finish off some roof scenes.

We finished early (19:45) - in itself unusual - and said our goodbyes - till we meet again at the 'wrap party' later in the year.

"Night is Day" at Collectormania - Day Two

Well Day Two - 'Night is Day' at Collectormania was as good if not better then Day One - though for different reasons.

Cast, Crew, and Fans (old and new) were awesome as ever, making the day go quickly, and it was so rewarding.

Again we had some celebrity visitors who came to see us and had good things to say about the trailer.

'Night is Day' Filming Continues - Sunday

Ever closer to the finishing line - but the filming carries on relentlessly (but still fun).

But more and more of the actors are wrapping so there are fond farewells - hopefully to be re-enacted at the 'Wrap Party".

'Night is Day' Filming Continues - Saturday

We are getting near the end of filming, the the hard work of editing begins. Adding sound, music, and special effects are all in the pipeline.

"Tiger" Tim Stevens (MBE) joined the cast today as we filmed in the rather scary location of a laboratory.

But only after we had donned the necessary safety clothing and followed the tight regulations as instructed.

Second day of filming this weekend - I was the lucky one as only there to cover the morning.

The rest of the cast and crew didn't wrap till after 23:00 - another very long day.

Night is Day - Film Shoot

Well the morning session was securing footage of Elaine C Smith's scene, and this turned out to be both interesting and enjoyable. Elaine was fantastic to work with, which made for a fine morning.

After a long break we headed to the Botanic Gardens for some fight scenes which lasted till after 22:00 making this a very full (and enjoyable) day.

'Night is Day' - Filming Day Two

The second (and longer) day of filming this weekend.

Early (enough) start at 10:00 with a late finish of about 21:00.

So a long - but rewarding - day with the benefit of having Simon Weir and Colin McCredie with many TV credits to their name.

Also lucky to get a shot of an old abandoned Volkswagen Beetle in the lane we were shooting the final scene of the day.

Today was the first day filming of - 'Night is Day' - the movie.

A fun day, but not without a few technical hitchers along the way.

So, tomorrow we start all over again in another Glasgow location.
