A Stroll Around Glasgow

A trip in to Glasgow today to have the sensor cleaned on my Canon camera.

As it takes a few hours I strolled around parts of the city.

As always I find Glasgow a friendly place and easy to engage in conversation with many of the people.

Below are a few of the images from the day.

Inverclyde Today

Another cold day, but nice and bright.

A run down to Gourock and as the road gate was closed at Tower Hill (not sure why) it was a walk the last part of the way.

A few panoramas of the hills across the Clyde.

Then a run up to Greenock and to Custom House Quay where 'Pole Star' is berthed as she is doing some buoy work in the Clyde over the next few days.

High Rise Fire - Melrose Court in Greenock

A wee bit of drama as we had a fire in a derelict high rise flat late this afternoon.

Melrose Court had some rubbish and debris located at it's base and this was set alight.

Although it all looked very dramatic the flats in Belville Street are in the process of being demolished so as far as I am aware there were no casualties thankfully.
