Erskine Waterfront

For a wee change, went up to Erskine to grab some photos of passing vessels. The slip is the one used by the former Erskine Ferry - and that takes me back very many years.

Great day for some local photographs

With the sun shining brightly, a bit of a rise in the temperature, and the snow still on the hills, headed up to get some shots before it all disappears.

Glasgow - Few Things Today

Visited the 'Glasgow Met' College for their open day and took their 'Photography' tour.

Most impressed and will consider going on a course next year.

Following are stills from the 'Night is Day' movie - a promotional video was shot today.

Still Snow - Whinhill Golf Course

A week on, and although the snow has by and large melted - it persists at the golf course.

 Still too deep to play

Picturesque - but unplayable

Langbank Walk

Walked Misty today, with Fraser and his girlfriend Bethany.

Nice day, and felt like spring - though we'll not be fooled this early on.

What a difference ...........

Now I can't believe this is what it's like in the field behind my house while walking the dog.

Stark contrast to the golf course - where I can't see the grass for deep snow - and only 7 miles away. Talk about micro climates ...........

Wrong Decision

Well, being such a lovely morning, and nice and clear in Langbank, I ventured up to the Whinhill golf course in Greenock.

Wrong decision this morning, even the road beyond was closed due to snow.  Still, better luck next time.

 Just a bit unplayable?

Photography Field Trip

Another field trip to Glasgow today - part of my 'Digital Photography' class at Paisley Uni.

Started not too bad, after we finally got a parking ticket machine that worked - third we tried and a long walk too.

Started to rain not long after we headed towards the Necropolis, but that wasn't to last too long - only till it snowed.

Coming down frozen we had a hot drink to warm us in the Museum of Religion - mine was a lovely hot chocolate.

Then to Glasgow Cathedral where tripods are not allowed - strange as I was happily given permission the last time I visited.

Parking tickets almost expired, we dispersed to the warmth of our cars to head to our respective homes.

We will meet on Wednesday when we will share the results of our individual efforts.

"Night is Day" - Script Reading in Glasgow

After a round of Golf it was a quick dinner and headed up to Glasgow.

It as a script read through with all the 'talent' and the crew were involved in recording the events of the evening.

It all went very well and we appear to have an excellent cast and crew for this production.

Necropolis Cemetery - Glasgow

A visit to the Necropolis in Glasgow has been on my wish list for a good long while.

Planned about a week ahead, and awoke to a foggy winter morning.

Proceeded up to Glasgow and picked up my son Fraser en-route. Arrived to a bright and sunny morning and selection of images are below.
