Was fortunate to catch the 'Caledonian Isles' ferry as she departed the James Watt Dock to carry out sea trials after her annual winter refit.

Louds Island Departs

'Louds Island' arrived in Greenock on the 8 October 2012 and was laid up due to lack of orders in the trade.

She departed Greenock today after her stay and here are a few images of her departure.

The light was really good tonight. I saw it emerging as I drove home but couldn't get stopped to take advantage.

Nipped over the field with our dog Maya and she was patient enough to let me get a few shots before the the light went.

Beacon Arts Centre - Open Day

Today was the open day for the general public to view Greenock's new Beacons Art Centre.

The Beacon is the replacement for the Greenock Arts Guild Theatre.

Although he external design has come under much local criticism - rightly in my opinion - it has to be said the the interior is a triumph and should prove a great asset to the area.
