Linlithgow Palace

A whirlwind tour today as I covered a few locations in West Lothian.

First stop was Linlithgow Palace and this was my second visit. Suspect I'll return again and the weather today made it a warm and pleasant place to be.

This is one of many buildings owned by 'Historic Scotland' and it has to be said that membership is great value for money, and you feel like they are looking after their customers as well as maintaining these beautiful structures.

There were a few young ladies in period costume who were giving informative tours of the Palace and they are to be commended for their presentations.

Glasgow - The Lighthouse

A trip to Glasgow this afternoon but the weather failed to improve and the downpour of rain continued.

Had a wander around 'The Lighthouse' as much to keep dry as anything else.

Managed a few pics of the skyline from the observation floor in the dreich weather.

James Watt Dock

Another wonderful summer's day here - excuse the sarcasm.

Very windy and showery - some shipping couldn't even berth at some of the piers.

A joyous summer for sure - more sarcasm, sorry.

Anyhow, we won't let that deter us from getting some piccies and I share a few here from this afternoon.
