HMS Montrose - Faslane Arrival

After completing my visit to Kilcreggan it was carry on round to Roseneath as I was expecting HMS Montrose to transit up to Faslane.

She duly obliged - but the visibility was abysmal with the mist and rain.

So with best efforts here are the images.

Kilcreggan Outlook

Having completed photographing at Glen Mallan, a very quick scoot down to Kilcreggan to try and catch the RFA Diligence.

The RFA Diligence is a very rare visitor to our waters and I was keen to record an image, but due to a later then anticipated berthing at Loch Long I missed her in the Gareloch.

Fortunate enough to catch her - albeit at long range - as she passed Kilcreggan enroute to Loch Striven for fuel.

Also managed a few shots of other craft in the area of Kilcreggan.

HMS Diamond - Glen Mallan

HMS Diamond - a clyde built Class 45 Royal Navy destroyer - arrived at Glen Mallan early this morning.

An early start in wet conditions was needed to get across to Loch long in time to meet her arrival.
