Serco - Great Harbour

Serco are in the process of changing their vessels' colour scheme, replacing the 'buff' that we are so familiar with from RMAS days.

The future is 'white' for the superstructures.

End of an era and we'll miss the sight of the old colour schemes I'm sure.

On the plus side, it gives us more photographic opportunities to capture the vessels in their new scheme.

HMS Penzance - (M106) Sandown Class Minehunter

HMS Penzance was transferred from the Garvel Dry Dock to the James Watt Dock in Greenock today.

Assume she was in for some repair work, and she later went out on trials.

The weather held as it had been raining earlier so pleased with that for sure.

Three Lochs Classic Car Rally

The RSAC Motorsport's 'Three Lochs Classic Car Rally' took place today with the cars starting at the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club in Rhu.

More than sixty vintage and classic cars were expected to take part and I've shown some of the entrants as they departed.

They were gleaming, and their proud drivers gave smiles and waves as they left to start their journey.

Los Angeles Class Submarine

We had another welcome visitor from our American allies this morning as a  Los Angeles Class Submarine arrived in the Gareloch en-route to the Faslane Military Base.

Unusually we also had some of the crew's charming wives who were visiting in support of their partners. Well done ladies and I trust you will have an enjoyable stay in Scotland.

They were telling me that they have visited many countries in support of their partners, and this is surely true commitment.

SD Resourceful and SD Dependable were the Serco tugs assisting the submarine on arrival.

Strathspey Railway - Broomhill Station

Well, this time heading home from Buckie and stopped off at Broomhill Station near Aviemore.

This is the station where the line reaches it's terminus.

The replica station building has been reconstructed where the original once was.

It is hoped to extend the line though to Grantown.

Broomhill was used as the station for in the BBC series "Monarch of the Glen" - Glenbogle.
