Isle of Bute - Away day

Today was a planned visit to the Isle of Bute.

Although the weather was not ideal for photographs, this was to be the best day of the week so of we went over and crossed our fingers.

Started foggy but cleared a little by the time we berthed at Rothesay.

A drive around the island and tried to take in some places and sites of interest.

Darkness comes in soon at this time of year so opted to take the earlier ferry back to Gourock.

Night shots were considered, and if it had been a crisper evening we may have stayed a little longer.

Mykali as she passes Greenock

The bulk carrier Mykali left KGV docks in Glasgow around noon and headed on down past Greenock on her way to the open sea.

Svitzer tugs Ayton Cross, and Anglegarth assisted as she navigated the upper reaches of the Clyde.

Also managed a few images from the Easy India harbour as I awaited the Mykali's passage.

Around Greenock Docks

A quick turn around the docks at Greenock today after the golf.

We have the SD Waterman looking resplendent having just undergone a session in the Garvel dry dock.

Pilot cutter - 'Toward' - seems to be berthed at the James Watt Dock Marina - wonder if she will be sold with the arrival of the Gantock?

And finally we have a visitor in the East India Harbour in the shape of the Clansman from Leith.
